Budget Consolidation Workshops for Real Results
Learn practical methods that actually work in everyday money management.
We run workshops throughout the year. The next group starts September 2025 in Hobart. These aren't lectures where someone talks at you for hours. You'll work through your own budget alongside others who are sorting out similar challenges.
Most people finish with a clearer picture of where their money goes and how to redirect it. Not magic tricks or quick fixes – just solid approaches you can use right away.
How the Program Breaks Down
Foundation Phase
Weeks 1-3
You'll map out your current situation. All the accounts, debts, recurring payments. This part can feel tedious, but it's where most people discover money they forgot about or expenses they didn't realise had crept up.
Consolidation Phase
Weeks 4-7
Here's where we look at what can be combined, simplified, or eliminated. You'll work with actual consolidation tools and see what makes sense for your specific mix of accounts and obligations.
Maintenance Phase
Weeks 8-10
Building routines that stick. Weekly check-ins become habits. You'll set up systems that don't require constant attention but keep things from sliding back into chaos.
Learning Formats We Offer
Learning Alongside Others Who Get It
Budgeting feels lonely when you're doing it by yourself. In workshops, you'll meet people dealing with similar headaches – too many accounts, confusing statements, debt that won't seem to budge.
- Share strategies that worked (or didn't) in your own situation without judgment
- Get feedback from people who aren't family members with opinions about your spending
- See how others handle the same consolidation challenges you're facing
- Build connections with people who understand the stress of messy finances
- Work through exercises together so you're not stuck figuring everything out alone
Past participants often say the group aspect made them actually follow through. When you know others are working on the same goals, it's easier to stay consistent.
Who Leads These Sessions
Our instructors have spent years helping Tasmanians untangle complicated budgets. They've seen every type of financial mess and know what practical solutions actually hold up over time.
Freya Lindqvist
Budget Consolidation Specialist
Freya ran her own bookkeeping practice before shifting to education. She's particularly good at helping people who have accounts scattered across multiple banks and credit cards they've lost track of.
Siobhan Rafferty
Debt Management Advisor
Siobhan worked in community financial counselling for eight years. She understands the emotional weight of debt and approaches consolidation with both practical tools and realistic expectations.
